Key objectives of the measure:

To integrate Culture,Science and Technology as a tool for survival within the environment;

To encourage indigenous technological innovations;

To sensitize and train the indigenous technologists on global best practices on technology

Main feature of the measure:

Encourage continuous research into our indigenous technological systems and cultural assets in order to harmonize them with contemporary technological innovations;

Create an enabling environment for introducing modern technology at the rural communities;

Encourage the establishment of research and training centres to enhance the preservation,promotion and development of indigenous technology;

Encourage the integration of indigenous technology into educational curriculum.

Results expected through the implementation of the measure:

Harmonized technological system which consist  of the indigenous traditional and contemporary innovations;

Adoption of modern technology in rural communities;

Research and training centres on cultural assets and technology

Financial resources allocated to implement the measure:

National Statutory budgetry Allocation and funds from Bank of Industries for small and medium scale enterprises.
