Because we believe that youth are a valued resource for every country in the region and should be an integral part of decision-making, we support their inclusion in local policy planning.

Our youth networks contribute to the development, implementation, revision and evaluation of public policies on youth, together with their national decision-makers. They sit around the same table. They exchange ideas, visions and proposals that crystallize national youth strategies, incorporating youth issues through youth’s eyes.

Because we believe that youth have what it takes to be today’s reporters and to deserve a fair and objective representation in the media, we strive to make their voices heard.

Our youth networks are involved in media research and go through a series of trainings to develop their capacities in media monitoring, content production, reporting, freedom of expression, journalism safety, ethics and much more. They work on ensuring youth achievements, participation in policy development, ideas and concerns are covered by mainstream media for the world to understand that, yes, youth are media-savvy, innovative and can bring a breath of fresh air to the region.

Because we believe that youth can be a driving economic force in their communities, we ensure their participation in employment policy design.

Our youth networks participate in the monitoring of policies and strategies related to youth skill development needs and labor market transition. They meet with international and national labor market experts, share their views and give their feedback on the large body of data and methodologies produced to make forecasts and support national entities to develop tools for skills development, business creation and employment policy design.

Yes, the young women and men of NET-MED Youth do all of this, and more. They get involved, include youth from all backgrounds in their work, network with their regional and international neighbors, roll up their sleeves and get to work!
