At its 40th session, the General Conference adopted Resolution 102, by which it invited the Director-General to proceed with the preparation of the Draft Medium-Term Strategy for 2022-2029 (41 C/4), and the related consultations of Member States and relevant stakeholders according to the roadmap and timeline presented in the Annex of document 40 C/11.

These consultations will be conducted at different levels, through electronic surveys (online questionnaire) addressed to the different stakeholders, and, to the extent possible, through sub-regional, regional and interregional consultation meetings of National Commissions. The results of these consultations will serve to inform the Director-General’s Preliminary Proposals on the Drafts 41 C/4 and 41 C/5, which will be submitted to UNESCO’s Executive Board, at its 210th session.
