This Research Seminar is organised based on the themes defined by the 1st Public call for Research projects from Lucio Costa Centre and the 2nd Public call for Submissions from Lucio Costa Centre both published during the first semester of 2015 and is aimed at satisfying the objectives regarding research activities set by the Centre.

Objective

Promote a broad and advisable debate among the researchers of the activities carried out in answer to the 1st Public call for Research projects from Lucio Costa Centre and the 2nd Public call for Submissions from Lucio Costa Centre

Themes to be developed
  • World Heritage management practices
  • A comparative overview of public policies and participatory management of World Heritage
  • Representativeness of the Region's cultural properties as World Heritage
Methodology

The Seminar will organised thematic round tables with researchers currently developing papers or researches on related topics. The round tables will consist of opening lectures by expert professionals on the topics addressed by the studies, who will be invited to participate in the discussions proposed, contributing to enhance the development of ongoing papers and researches, and guest mediators to organize and articulate addresses among the members of the table and other participants.

Participants

Only the authors and researchers selected by the 1st Public call for Research projects from Lucio Costa Centre and the 2nd Public call for Submissions from Lucio Costa Centre. Independent inscriptions will not be accepted.
