This workshop "Climate change and cultural heritage" will allow scientists, end users and policy makers to debate the effects of changing climate parameters on material and structural characteristics of cultural heritage. The workshop also aims to produce guidelines to governments, other institutional actors, NGO's and experts on how to better integrate climate change considerations and prevision in protection and maintenance of cultural heritage.

The workshop will be an opportunity to present results of current work in the field and to make proposals for research or action and co-operation.

It is open to participation by interested experts. No fee will be requested from participants, but unless specifically notified, attendees are expected to cover their own travelling and subsistence expenses.

The workshop will be conducted in English. It is organized by the Council of Europe and the European University Centre for Cultural Heritage (CUEBC).

All correspondence should be directed both to the Council of Europe (tanya.peshovksa@coe.int) and to CUEBC (univeur@univeur.org).
