Prince Albert II
of Monaco Foundation
Since 2018 the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation supports the World Heritage Marine Programme's work toward the potential protection of Outstanding Universal Value in marine areas beyond national jurisdiction. The grant focuses on exploring the technical modalities of how the 1972 World Heritage Convention could apply to marine areas beyond national jurisdiction and through it supports work in response to the 2011 recommendation on World Heritage and the High Seas of the independent evaluation by the UNESCO external auditor. The Albert II of Monaco Foundation is dedicated to the protection of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development on a global scale. The Foundation supports initiatives of public and private organizations, in the fields of research and studies, technological innovation and socially-aware practices.
