Ms Najwa Adra, currently a research fellow in the Austrian Academy of Sciences, is an anthropologist with over 20 years experience in documenting intangible heritage and participatory ethnographic methods. She has utilized intangible heritage to improve the sustainability of development projects. In 2000 she piloted the highly successful Literacy through Poetry/Heritage project in Yemen. She is currently completing a book on tribal heritage in Yemen.
