I am an anthropologist, Professor at the Institut national des sciences de l’archéologie et du patrimoine (INSAP, Rabat). I hold a Ph.D. from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris, France. I was trained as a facilitator in 2011. I facilitated capacity-building workshops and advised on ICH policies in some countries of Africa and Middle East. I participated to the drafting of the 2003 Convention and its Operational Directives. I was chair of the Intergovernmental ICH Committee’s Evaluation Body in 2015 and 2017.
