Sport Values in Every Classroom. Teaching respect, equity and inclusion to 8-12 year-old students

UNESCO and six international partner organizations developed a toolkit to support the development of healthy citizens, who participate fairly in society and in sport. Teachers and educators from 13 ASPnet member countries were piloting the toolkit this year (in English, Spanish and French).

The toolkit provides a universal framework for instilling values and teaching transferable life skills to 8-12 year-old students in any subject area. It complements existing curricula and promotes student engagement and movement while helping teachers and educators, regardless of their specialties, to instill some of the core values synonymous with sport – respect, equity and inclusion.

The partner organisations are: The International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE), the International Fair Play Committee (IFPC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
