Supporting teachers in back-to-school efforts - Guidance for policy-makers

Education authorities will face difficult choices in reopening schools during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. For this reason, the International Task Force on Teachers for Education 2030 has published, together with UNESCO and the International Labour Organization (ILO), guidelines to support policy-makers designing back-to-school policies and developing school reopening procedures.

These guidelines present a series of recommendations, while recognizing the necessity for countries to identify their own priorities given the national context and make informed decisions through dialogue with all relevant stakeholders.
