The orchestra is one of the first successful results of Salvador’s activities undertaken as a UNESCO Creative City, emphasizing on a broad participation of all citizens to cultural life.

Led by the two great performers Luciano Calazans and Ubiratan Marques, the Soteropolifônica made its debut during the opening of the Municipal Park of Salvador, with a repertoire ranging from classical, rock, samba to Bahian music.

Held on the occasion of the inauguration of a public space of the city of Salvador, the concert of Soteropolifônica demonstrates the city’s effort to integrate creativity at the core of urban life.
