Call for Submissions: 2020 China Red Star Design Award in Beijing

When:
Sun, 03/15/2020 to Tue, 06/30/2020

Beijing, a UNESCO Creative City of Design, has launched its call for submission for the 2020 edition of the China Red Star Design Award, a leading design award with a broad international outreach. Created in 2006, the competition aims to encourage good design and promote the development of the design industry. Since its creation, the competition has received over 60,000 product submissions from more than 8,000 enterprises from over 30 countries.

The competition also grants the ‘original award’, which was launched in 2012, to a product that focuses on development issues related to well-being, society, economy, and technology. The competition calls for original product and service design from around the world. In response to the current outbreak of the COVID-19, a special award is also foreseen for the product or service that have been designed or developed for fighting against the coronavirus.

For the 2020 edition, participants are invited to submit their project online from 15 March to 30 June through the Red Star Design Award website

The Creative City of Beijing encourages all the UNESCO Creative Cities to participate and submit innovative designs and products for the competition.
