Québec celebrated poetry with ‘La grande traversée poétique’

When:
Fri, 10/23/2020 to Sun, 10/25/2020

Québec (Canada), a UNESCO Creative City of Literature since 2017, together with the Festival ‘Québec en toutes lettres’, organized virtually ‘La grande traversée poétique’(The great poetic journey) from 23 to 25 October 2020.

On this unique occasion, more than 200 poets and creative writers from 20 countries gathered online and share their literary pieces through readings, performances and videos.

To celebrate poetry’s great diversity and its powerful means of bringing cultures together, Creative Cities of Literature, including Dunedin (New-Zealand), Manchester and Nottingham (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), Odessa (Ukraine), Utrecht (Netherlands) and Wonju (Republic of Korea) participated in the event.

The event was streamed continuously for a total duration of 12 hours via the Festival Facebook page as well as via the 25 literary organizations, partners of the event.
