In the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the attendant economic crisis, a number of leading UNIDROIT instruments may be of interest to a wide array of actors currently facing serious challenges to address contractual disruptions and to rebuild the economy in the post COVID-19 scenario.
On 14-15 December 2020, UNIDROIT participated in the second meeting of the Group of Experts established by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) for the Permanent Identification of Railway Rolling Stock (PIRRS).
On 8 December 2020, UNIDROIT participated in an international virtual forum organised by the World Bank Group and the Kozolchyk National Law Center entitled: “Toward a Coordinated Implementation of International Standards on Receivables Finance”.
On 3 December 2020, UNIDROIT participated in a virtual forum organised by the Kozolchyk National Law Center which examined the importance of, and opportunities created by the Mining, Agricultural, and Construction Protocol of the Cape Town Convention in Latin America.
The video recordings of the JPRI International Conference 2020, which UNIDROIT co-organised with the Judicial Policy Research Institute (JPRI), the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH), and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) entitled “International Commercial Litigation: Recent Developments and Future Challenges” are now available on the JPRI YouTube channel.
On November 24th and 25th, 2020, the National Heritage Board of Latvia invited UNIDROIT to an international online Conference entitled “Opportunities and Challenges of Art and Antiques Market Management”.
