The World Heritage Centre has launched an Online Consultation with key World Heritage stakeholders on the updating of the “Policy Document on the Impacts of Climate Change on World Heritage properties”. The consultation, which is taking place until 20 January 2020, will gather feedback and comments from key World Heritage stakeholders of the World Heritage Convention on this crucial matter.

This inclusive online consultation invites States Parties to the World Heritage Convention, World Heritage Committee Members, UNESCO Category 2 Institutes and Centres specializing in World Heritage, Site managers, and civil society organizations with activities in the fields covered by the World Heritage Convention, etc. to provide feedback and comments by completing an online survey by 20 January 2020 (extended until 31 January 2020).

The results of the consultation will represent a major contribution towards the updating of the Policy Document. The draft updated Policy Document will be presented to the World Heritage Committee at its 44th session (Fuzhou, China, 29 June – 9 July 2020).
