The African World Heritage Fund, the Center for Heritage Development in Africa and the Kingdom of Lesotho organise a World Heritage Nomination Training Course which will be held in Maseru/Lesotho from 2 to 13 November 2009.

This workshop will bring together heritage experts from 8 African English speaking countries plus a participant from Mozambique. The workshop will build on the results of a previous meeting on the same subject held in Lesotho in November 2008 where targeted goals per country were established.

The objective of this upcoming workshop is to review the nomination  files prepared by the African English speaking countries in the course of the last year.

This Worshop was made possible by the financial contribution of the  Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) to the African World Heritage Fund. It was prepared in close cooperation with the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, ICCROM, ICOMOS and IUCN.
