The draft Baseline Assessment report prepared under the coordination of ICOMOS and IUCN ECARO has been published for comments as part of the project ““Towards strengthened governance of the shared transboundary natural and cultural heritage of the Lake Ohrid region” funded by the European Union and the Ministry of Environment of Albania.

The Baseline Assessment report provides crucial background information on the Lake Ohrid region in Albania on a number of themes such as biodiversity, agriculture, forestry, tangible and intangible heritage and tourism. It informs the activities of the Lake Ohrid region project including in terms of soft-base tourism, management planning as well as Technical Assistance for the preparation of the extension file for the World Heritage property Natural and Cultural Heritage of the Ohrid region (the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia).
