Celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the National Conservatory of Music, Mexico

For the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the National Conservatory of Music (NCM) various events have been organized during 2016 to celebrate arts and music. An exhibition “Mario Pani” was organized at the lobby of the National Conservatory of Music on 25 April 2016 under the curatorship of Louise Noelle. At the exhibition were presented a large scale model of the Masaryk building provided by the UNAM and a photography collection by Guillermo Zamora and Paulina Lavista. The Sistema de Transporte Colectivo Metro (Mexico City Subway) showcased an exhibition with images of the collection of the National Conservatory of Music.

On 29 June 2016 at Palace of Fine Arts was held an anniversary concert by the National Symphony Orchestra with the participation of students and teachers of the NCM. Also, on the 1st July 2016 an anniversary concert was organized with the Orchestra of the Conservatory under the direction of Eduardo Diaz Muñoz.
