Second session of the General Assembly of the States Parties
The second session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage took place from 16 to 19 June 2008 at UNESCO Headquarters.
In conformity with its Rules of Procedure and with Article 6 of the Convention, the General Assembly conducted an election on this occasion for the renewal of half of the Members of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
An information session for the States Parties to the Convention was held on Monday 2 June 2008 from 15.30 to 18.00 in Room XI (Fontenoy) in preparation for the second session of the General Assembly (background notes: الإنجليزية|الفرنسية).
