Repair, restore and rehabilitate establishments belonging to the cultural sector.

Improve the working and production conditions of creators in the sphere of the distribution and marketing of the cultural product.

Improve the satisfaction of creators and achieve a greater affluence of clients.

Improve the technological and physical infrastructure for cultural management.

Repair, modernisation and/or restoration of different cultural institutions: Grand Theatre of Havana; Línea y 18 Cultural Centre; cultural centres; houses of culture; Amadeo Roldán Theatre; University of the Arts; Carlos Acosta Dance cultural project; Hemingway Museum; the rehabilitation of museums; Museum of Music; stores and workshops of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets; Casa de las Américas; arts education facilities.

Results expected through the implementation of the measure:

Improvement in the technological and physical infrastructure for cultural management.

Improvement in the cultural offer.

Greater quality and diversity in the cultural offer.

Main conclusions of the evaluation of the measure:

In addition to evaluations and onsite monitoring, at the end of each year the Department of the Ministry of Culture elaborates an annual report where the results achieved throughout the year are examined. At the end of 2015 the repair, adaptation and/or remodelling of 102 cultural institutions and centres throughout the country had been completed, allowing a notable increase in the possibility of persons from different social sectors and age groups to access quality cultural programming that meets their expectations and needs, thereby ensuring the enjoyment and spiritual enrichment of people from all over the country, including those living in remote locations in sparsely populated areas.

Economic and social indicators.Cultural statistics with the amount of cultural centres and institutions, registry of activities held as part of the cultural programming, level of participation among the population.
