First meeting of the International Commission (January 2020)

The International Commission on the Futures of Education held its first meeting at UNESCO headquarters in Paris on 28-29 January 2020.

Launch of the Futures of Education initiative (September 2019)

UNESCO’s Futures of Education: Learning to Become initiative was launched at the UN General Assembly in September 2019. The establishment of an International Commission to be chaired by Ethiopian President Sahle-Work Zewde was announced at the event.
