From the 14 to the 16 September 2016, the Paraguay National Secretary of Tourism (SENATUR) and the Ministry of Education and Culture, through the Paraguay National Commission for cooperation with UNESCO and UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet), will hold the 2nd national and 1st international Youth Forum on Heritage: “Accessible World Heritage”

In the framework of the engagement assumed by Paraguay through the ratification of the 1972 Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, Paraguay, through its National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO and its Ministry of Education and Culture, will hold the 2nd national and 1st international Youth Forum on Heritage: “Accessible World Heritage”

The main objective is to raise awareness among young people about the importance of knowing, valorising, preserving and protecting national heritage at the local and world levels. In order to attain this goal, many activities will take place (forums, workshops, presentations, visits, etc.) aiming to encourage the active and dynamic of the participants, the development of their sense of identity and belonging and their comprehension of the key role they play in the conservation and transmission of Heritage.

Who will participate?

Young students between ages of 13 and 15 belonging to the institutional members of the UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network (UNESCO ASPnet) and to the institutions located in the vicinity of the national and World Heritage sites: 110 participants in total
