UNESCO invites organizations and networks to mobilize their stakeholders and partners to engage in the global debate on the futures of education and provide inputs to the International Commission on the Futures of Education.  One way to get involved is to help spread the word and encourage others to participate in the online engagement platforms listed above.  We encourage contributions in the following ways as well.

Stakeholder Focus Groups : UNESCO has prepared guidelines for running stakeholder focus groups so that a broad range of unique perspectives can be brought into the global discussion.  The insights gained through focus group discussions will be synthesized by UNESCO and presented to the International Commission as an input into the development of a global report on the futures of education. (Consultation guidelines can be downloaded here.) The deadline to organize focus group discussions and to send Consultation Reporting Forms to UNESCO is 31st December 2020.

Written Reports to the International Commission : UNESCO invites its partners and organizations broadly interested in the futures of education to organize seminars or workgroups that result in a written report prepared especially for the UNESCO International Commission on the Futures of Education.  During the visioning phase of the initiative input is sought on identifying and addressing key challenges and opportunities foreseen for the future.  We invite you to coordinate your planned activities with UNESCO’s Education Research and Foresight programme and to submit your report to the commission by email to futuresofeducation@unesco.org Written reports will be accepted in any of the 6 UN working languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian), should fall within the suggested maximum 10 page length.
