The UNESCO Creative City of Rasht, Iran, launched in December the first edition of the Festival of Organic Products. This year’s theme is "From Farm to Table" and aims at fostering healthy lifestyles and well-being fostering through creativity and gastronomy.

The Festival was introduced to increase the use of organic products and raise awareness on the importance of organic local food for health, social cohesion and collective identity. Both private and public sectors engaged in the Festival to encourage big and small food industries to promote organic food and to strengthen linkages between urban and rural areas.

The Festival also aims at spreading traditional culinary practices among citizens and educate on how our food choices affect the world around us.
