ICOMOS France and IUCN France are organizing a seminar on “Impact assessments: enhancing cultural heritage” on 10 November 2017 at the Mediathèque du Patrimoine, Charenton-le-Pont, France.

The purpose of this seminar is to address from three different perspectives how projects are assessed, how they impact heritage and how they can contribute to improve projects: assessing the project to anticipate negative impacts; arguments to demonstrate the worth of the project; and the implementation to secure the process of the study.

The seminar will focus on case studies, group reflection on “keys to successful heritage impact assessments”, and recommendations to strengthen French Heritage Impact assessment practice.
