In mid 2018 a group of six students from Thammasat University in Thailand undertook a summer internship with the UN in Bangkok, hosted at UNESCO. Their task was to undertake research on the UN's work with youth and make recommendations for strengthening collaboration between youth and the UN. One of their key findings was that every UN agency evaluates our programs in a different way and that we generally focus on outputs (such as participation numbers). They recommended that the UN should develop a set of standard indicators that UN agencies could all include in their evaluations.
This e-team is working to develop a methodology to improve the way that we evaluate work done with and by youth within UN programs. It is a working group of the APINY (Asia Pacific Interagency Network on Youth).
