Regional Forum on Artificial Intelligence in Latin America and the Caribbean
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Brazilian Network Information Center (NIC.br) through its Regional Center for Studies on the Development of the Information Society (Cetic.br), and the Brazilian Government, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC) were jointly organizing a Regional Forum on Artificial Intelligence in Latin America and the Caribbean on 12-13 December 2019 in São Paulo, SP, Brazil. The overall purpose of this Regional Forum was to raise awareness and promoted reflection on the opportunities and challenges that AI and its correlated technologies pose to societies, governments, organizations and citizens.
International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Education
In cooperation with the Government of People’s Republic of China, UNESCO organized the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Education, in Beijing, from 16 to 18 May 2019. The Conference adopted the Beijing Consensus, the first ever Consensus on AI and Education. The Consensus has been made available in six UN languages. The Final Report of the International Conference on AI and Education with points of debates of more than 120 AI in education experts and policy makers has been published too.
