Call for applications: UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for research in the life sciences

The UNESCO–Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences is intended to reward projects and activities of an individual, individuals, institutions, or non-governmental organizations for scientific research in the life sciences, which have led to improving the quality of human life. The Prize encourages research as well as the establishment and development of networks of centres of excellence in the life sciences.
A maximum of three prizewinners shall be selected by the Director-General of UNESCO on the basis of the assessments and recommendations made to her by an international jury. The awardees receive a monetary award of US $350,000, a diploma and a statuette by Equatorial Guinean artist Leandro Mbomio.  
Applications must be submitted online in English or French.
The deadline for submissions is 31 March 2021 (Midnight Paris time, UTC+1)
