UNESCO National Office in Mexico exists since 1967. The Office has a broad programmatic agenda based on UNESCO's programmes at the global level (Education, Science, Social Sciences, Culture and Communication and Information) and directly related to the Mexican reality. Its priority is to strengthen the Culture of Peace in the country through different projects.
The Office supports local capacities and aims to be a specialized and programmatic link between these local entities, governmental and/or institutional bodies, the Federal Government and communities.
