Education to employment: Youth with disabilities and their needs post-COVID-19

Education to employment: Youth with disabilities and their needs post-COVID-19

To commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, UNESCO Bangkok, together with UNICEF, ILO and Leonard Cheshire organized a webinar on the topic of "Education to employment: Youth with disabilities and their needs post-COVID-19" on 3 December 2020. The event hosted six individuals from across the Asia Pacific region to discuss the challenges of youths with disabilities and their needs in terms of accessing employment opportunities. The event highlighted areas that are pivotal in ensuring that existing gaps between education and employment can be meaningfully addressed, in alignment with this year’s IDPD 2020 theme “Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 world”.
