Macao celebrates Sustainable Gastronomy Day

Macao celebrates Sustainable Gastronomy Day

When:
Thu, 06/18/2020

Macao SAR, designated as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in 2017, contributed to the worldwide celebration of Sustainable Gastronomy Day (18 June) by producing a special video displaying Macao’s unique gastronomic culture, recipes and culinary arts.

The celebration is in line with the city’s endeavor to foster preservation of gastronomic culture and contribute to the sustainable development of Macao’s tourism industry, while progressing towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) partnered with Foodie Platform, a local gastronomic platform, to invite two residents and a local chef to display their culinary traditions and Macanese recipes as well as to demonstrate the cooking techniques in preparing two main courses and one dessert in a short video.

The video will be released on MGTO’s website, Macao gastronomy website and relevant platforms on social media including Facebook, WeChat and YouTube.
