Montreal launches the Call for Proposals for the Multidisciplinary Landscape Architecture Competition

Montreal launches the Call for Proposals for the Multidisciplinary Landscape Architecture Competition

When:
Thu, 10/15/2020 to Wed, 11/25/2020

As a UNESCO Creative City of Design, Montréal has developed numerous strategies to ensure greater recognition for designers and architects and to increase the quality of design of buildings and public spaces.

With this in mind, the city recently launched an international multidisciplinary landscape architecture competition for the development of a site located in the heart of the “Quartier des spectacles” in downtown Montreal.

The project calls on architects, landscape architects and other design and development professionals to transform this space into a fresh, green island and a new place for residents, workers and visitors of the neighborhood to socialize.

The competition aims to design creative and innovative solutions that respond to the principles of a resilient and inclusive city as well as ecological and social transition.

Interested participants are invited to submit their proposals by 25 November 2020.
