The IIEP-UNESCO Dakar supports the elaboration and dissemination of new benchmarks, methodological tools and thematic analysis on topics deemed important for the vocational training community in Africa. Furthermore, PEFOP shares documents drawn from the capitalization of its activities in the shape of technical notes, reports, programme summaries, working papers and so on.
This report constitutes the analytical synthesis of the 2nd Regional Workshop for Exchange between Vocational Training Actors in Africa and their Mutual Strengthening, held in Nairobi from 18-20 June 2019, on the theme of “Quality TVET for the successful training-to-employment transition of Africa’s youth”.
IIEP-UNESCO Dakar, the Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation (Lux-Dev) and the Institut de la Francophonie pour l'Education et la Formation (IFEF) organized a regional sharing workshop in Dakar from 19 to 21 March 2018 on the theme "Public-private partnerships in vocational training in Africa".
IIEP-UNESCO Dakar and the Institute of La Francophonie for Education and Training (IFEF) of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) have combined efforts to develop this guidance document that will help define and provide a classification of the different partnership tiers in VT in order to offer a closer look at the various actors’ roles and responsibilities at an operational level.
To identify obstacles in the implementation of renewed vocational education and training policies, IIEP-UNESCO Dakar has developed an empirical method as the activities of the Platform of Expertise in Vocational Training (Pefop) with the four partner countries (Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Mauritania, Senegal) of this first phase.
