Online High-Level Policy Dialogue “Building a Resilient Future in Coalition with Nature in Central Asia”

On 26 November 2020, UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office in cooperation with UNECE and UN Environmental Programme (UNEP) is organizing an online High-Level Policy Dialogue “Building a Resilient Future in Coalition with Nature in Central Asia”.

The meeting will provide a platform for high level representatives of the governments of Central Asia in charge of environment as well as international organizations, civil society, donors and academic communities, to discuss the concept of building a resilient future in Central Asia in coalition with nature in the light of the COVID-19 post-pandemic recovery.

The objectives of the Policy Dialogue is a comprehensive discussion on a set of questions around the building a resilient future in harmony with nature in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the “building back better” efforts of the countries of Central Asia region. The Dialogue, as a first in a series, will play a key role in paving the way for enhanced regional cooperation with a new vision on bringing nature back into the lives of people in CA. The event will also provide an opportunity to discuss the challenges in combating COVID-19 pandemic and the vision of the countries for a better future, in harmony with nature.

The event will be held in Russian and English with simultaneous translation.
