The UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office, the Kazakhstan Association of Regional Environmental Initiatives “ECOJER” and Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs announce the start of the competition of photographs and drawings within the framework of the Republican ecological marathon “My ECO-Footprint”.
“If you are not indifferent to the topic of environmental protection, if you actively support a healthy initiative for waste sorting, like to photograph and draw and, most importantly, if you want to make a personal contribution to solving environmental problems - take part in the largest republican environmental competition of drawings and photographs!”The competition will be held in three categories:
In the first category “While creating, DO NOT destroy”, drawings are accepted on the importance of preserving the planet's natural resources, the need to solve existing environmental problems and comply with the principles of reasonable consumption.
In the second category “The world we live in” are accepted mobile photos of unique and unusual natural phenomena, amazing places in Kazakhstan, as well as photos about the importance of preserving biodiversity and the pristine beauty of nature.
In the third category “Sorting is fashionable” professional staged photos are accepted about the need for sorting and recycling of waste, as well as the importance of reducing waste within a single family or country. Photos can be combined with a thematic plot, using various items.
The best drawings and photos will be set on billboards and bus shelters in Almaty! The authors of the best works will be awarded prizes.
The competition is open to everyone from 12 to 35 years old (age categories: 12-16 years old, 17-25 years old, 26-35 years old). Participation in the contest is absolutely free of charge. Applications are accepted from September 16 to October 15, 2020.
