Announcement – June 2021

In June 2021, UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty continues a series of online webinars to build the capacity of museum workers in Central Asia and Southern Caucasus.

The webinars are open to staff of all museums in Central Asia and Southern Caucasus, as well as interested representatives of concerned state bodies, research organisations, NGOs and civil society. Webinars are taking place in the online format.

How to Reach your Audience in a Creative Way?
Date: Tuesday, 29 June 2021.
Time: 14:30-16:00 Almaty time.
Speaker: Ms Annemies Broekgaarden, Head Public and Education, Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, Netherlands. As head she was responsible for formulating the educational policy, plans and realization of these plans. She built an education department now consisting of 20 fte and 116 free lancers. The department offers innovative products and services for all types of (almost 2,5 million) visitors in order to make the museum’s collection accessible for a broad public. Since 2017 she is also responsible for Digital Learning, Academic Programmes and Diversity & Inclusion. Registration
This webinar is organized together with the International Council of Museums (ICOM). The webinar will be held in English and Russian language with simultaneous translation.
