Saluak Laka Songket Shoulder Cloth

The pattern of this light weight shawl is a blend of  traditional patterns, taken from traditional Minangkabau wood carving, and designed in a contemporary manner. The weaving uses the songket technique, a traditional woven brocade with metallic threads using the supplementary weft. Read more about this element on the UNESCO Bangkok website
