About the project:

The project aims at empowering the creative community in South Africa by strengthening their capacities and giving them access to critical information on funding opportunities.

The Arterial Network – South African Chapter is a local NGO committed to the promotion of a vibrant, dynamic and sustainable African creative sector.

    Expected results:

    • The capacities of 20 members of civil society organizations are strengthened to influence policy-making.
    • A web-based database containing relevant information about over 200 cultural organizations is developed.
    • The South African creative community’s awareness about the UNESCO 2005 Convention and national cultural policies is raised.
