Nana Bagalishvili

Nana Bagalishvili is Head of the NGO Civic Initiative since 2014. She works with her team to build educational and cultural spaces for the youth, children and elderly people in different regions of Georgia, with a current focus on the municipality of Sighnaghi. In 2015, together with the team of Civic Initiative, she created Knowledge Café, a youth non-formal educational and cultural space in Tsnori, which currently develops programmes for the youth, elderly and children. Knowledge Café comprises five spaces: a book shop, multimedia libraries, an informal educational-cultural center, a café, and an art residency. Since 2017, Nana has been working as a fundraiser for Knowledge Café. At the same time, she is a trainer on issues such as creative fundraising, community mobilization and advocacy. In 2011-2012 Nana worked with Initiative Group of Tnori and implemented nine cultural-educational projects for the youth of Tsnori and nearby villages, with the support of local businesses of Tnori. She holds a bachelor’s degree in European studies, and a master’s degree in cultural management.
