The IFCD believes that young people have a critical role to play in protecting and promoting the diversity of cultural expressions. In developing countries, they often require additional support in order to realize their creative potential - and that’s where the IFCD comes in.

Walking the paths of creativity in Morocco
4 years after its funding by the UNESCO IFCD, the AME (Association of Music Entrepreneurs of Barbados) has become a key actor of the Caribbean cultural and creative industries
Additional support from public and private sectors enables the musicians to export their music to Canada and the United Kingdom and other international music festivals such as the Veranda Cultural and the Semana International de Musica in Sao Paulo.
Partnership established with Club One International, the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries and AME to present six of the musicians on television to promote their talents before an audience of more than one million viewers.
11 concerts  confirmed and contracts signed with US$ 131,802.
4 artists selected to participate in the NACA Convention in Nashville, Tennessee before an audience of 3000 music promotors representing 500 College and Universities in the United States.
Project launch by the Association of Music Entrepreneurs (AME) with support from the IFCD to send young musicians to the United States and have access to the music circuits of the National Association of Campus Activities (NACA).

The IFCD is the Fund established by the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions and its goal is to invest in projects that lead to structural changes, demonstrating the value and opportunities that culture brings to sustainable development processes, in particular to economic growth and the promotion of a decent quality of life.
