Regional Audio-visual Cooperation and Training (RE-ACT)
The objective of RE-ACT is to promote closer creative collaboration between producers and filmmakers from Croatia, Slovenia and Friuli Venezia Giulia through training, networking and co-development of projects. The RE-ACT (Regional Audio-visual Cooperation and Training) initiative aims to structure the current cooperation between these three funds on a formal level, and to develop film education and networking between these regions.
RE-ACT is an initiative set up in 2015 by the Croatian Audio-visual Centre, Friuli Venezia Giulia Audio-visual Fund and Slovenian Film Centre in collaboration with TorinoFilmLab aimed at developing new audio-visual projects and fostering international co-productions. It is designed for filmmakers and producers who wish to foster closer ties within Croatia, Friuli Venezia Giulia (IT) and Slovenia. It is oriented towards developing film co-productions of at least two partners from two different countries involved in the Initiative. They need to work on either feature-length fiction, feature-length documentaries, feature-length or short animation films.
The Re-Act initiative will contribute to developing new creative and innovative audio-visual projects as well as fostering international co-productions in the nearby regions of Croatia, Slovenia and Friuli Venezia Giulia Region in Italy.
The RE-ACT Co-Development Funding scheme supports a maximum of 6 projects with a minimum financial support of 8.000 Euros per project per year. The Programme Council appointed by three member funds reads and evaluates the projects in cooperation with external experts.
For the years 2015 and 2016 the RE-ACT co-development funding had a total annual budget of 60.000 EUR. The financial envelope derives exclusively from contributions of member funds.
