PEER Workshop: Facilitating peer learning and policy dialogue on core SDG-4 issues

Virtual event, 2nd June, 15:00-16:00 CEST

On June 2 the GEM Report team will host a one- hour virtual workshop to present its new online tool  Profiles Enhancing Education Reviews (PEER). PEER is an evidence-based tool that seeks to monitor and assess the implementation of national education strategies, facilitate peer learning and encourage policy dialogue at the national and regional levels on issues central to SDG4. PEER is designed to allow cross-country comparisons, identify and share good practices, help to clarify concepts and terminologies. The profiles contain two chapters so far, the first covering inclusion in education, the theme of the 2020 GEM Report. The second chapter covers equitable finance, with additional chapters on non-state actors, gender and climate change planned for release later this year.

The  workshop will showcase findings from the inclusion and equitable finance chapters, share country examples drawing on its content and provide an opportunity to explore the use of PEER as an essential policy making, comparative research and advocacy tool for the international education community.
