On 17 June 2021, the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty conducted a training on the development of creative and innovative thinking skills for employees of the Youth Resource Centers in Almaty.

With the support of the Akimat of Almaty, a one-day training was organized for 15 employees of the Youth Resource Centers of the city, who carry out a number of youth initiatives and programs to develop the comprehensive potential of youth and support young people from the most vulnerable groups of the population.

As part of the training, a Programme Officer of the Social and Human Sciences Sector, Arina Myassoyed, revealed to the participants the concept of creative and innovative thinking, shared effective techniques for generating ideas and non-standard problem solving, and also demonstrated in practice the need to develop these skills and use different styles of thinking.

In conclusion, the leaders of the Youth Resource Centers proposed to conduct an identical training for a wider audience of young people who are also involved in the implementation of youth programs in the city.
