Management Strategies developed for Silk Roads Corridors in Central Asia: Phase II

The results have been released concerning the development of management strategies for the Silk Road corridors in Central Asia after the sub-regional meeting of the working group on preparation of the dossier of the Serial transnational nomination of the World Heritage "Silk Road: Fergana-Syrdarya Corridor" held on 2 October 2018 and a sub-regional seminar on the development of management strategies for the Silk Road corridors held from 3 to 4 October 2018 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

These meetings were made possible with the financial support of the Government of Japan through the UNESCO/Japanese Funds-in-Trust, via the project “Support for the Silk Roads World Heritage Sites in Central Asia” since 2011. UNESCO World Heritage Centre in close collaboration with the UNESCO Almaty are implementing the project "Support of World Heritage Sites of Central Asia along the Silk Road" which is now in phase II.
