LAB.2030 | Measuring the Impacts of Creativity in Local Development

LAB.2030 | Measuring the Impacts of Creativity in Local Development

When:
Tue, 06/12/2018

Bologna, along with eight other Italian creative cities: Milan, Pesaro, Rome, Torino, Carrara, Fabriano, Alba and Parma, are working together in the creation of a framework in order to the measure and manage the impact of culture and creativity on local development, including the impact of the UCCN designation. The data collected via the framework will not only be used to improve future policies surrounding creative programmes, but also provide a platform upon which the nine cities can collaborate and share ideas as well as solutions. Such progressive strategies will support the development of the creative communities within these cities, in turn leading to potential growth in tourism and economic sustainability, as well as greater social equality within the industry. This work engaged by the Italian Creative Cities comes in line with the ongoing reflection conducted by UNESCO on Measuring Culture in the SDGs.
