The International Fund for the Promotion of Culture (IFPC)

The International Fund for the Promotion of Culture (IFPC) was established by the UNESCO General Conference (1974) to promote culture as a source of knowledge, meaning, values and identity by supporting the production and organization of cultural and artistic works and events.

As of 2018, UNESCO Member states have initiated an in-depth reflection with a view to better align the objectives of the Fund to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Such reflection has led to the adoption of revised Statutes of the Fund.

Since its creation, the IFPC has co-financed numerous creative cultural projects around the world. The latest IFPC Activity Report presents the 33 projects co-financed by the IFPC between 2013 and 2018.
