UNESCO INRULED and UNESCO IITE launched a new Guidance on Active Learning at Home during Educational Disruption

UNESCO INRULED, UNESCO IITE, Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University and other partners have jointly released the handbook entitled “Guidance on Active Learning at Home during Educational Disruption: Promoting student’s self-regulation skills during COVID-19 outbreak” to explain the potential problems during the process of active learning caused by both external and internal factors.

Additionally, with vivid pictures, it reports the practical experience of active learning from students in China and offers specific suggestions with a great variety of cases and relevant theories. Furthermore, this handbook presents a SCIENCE model with seven suggestions for active learning at home, namely Scheduling learning and playing in balance, Choosing learning resources on demand, Inspiring the study from playing, Engaged in learning by self-monitoring, Nourishing learning ability with e-assessment, Carrying out reflection on learning methods, and Exercising daily and moderately.
