The Asia Pacific Conference on Curriculum Studies and Instructional Designing (APCCSID 2021)

Objectives:

The conference will be a mayor opportunity to further stimulate a global and regional conversation on the transformation of education, education systems and the curriculum in the post pandemic era. IBE will ensure the participation of experts and practitioners from different regions to capture the commonalities and differences among regions in addressing the renewal of the curriculum. HELA (Hybrid Education, Learning and Assessment) will be highlighted in the conference as a core IBE-UNESCO initiative to support countries in moving progressively towards hybrid modes of education.
 
The objectives of the conference are as below:
 
  1. To discuss on roles and impact of education in general and curriculum in specific towards achieving sustainable development goals, including inclusive education, value education, education for sustainable consumption and production (ESCP), Global Citizenship etc.
  2. To provide a global setting for experts, curriculum developers, policy makers, researchers, students to present, share and discuss researches, issues related to curriculum studies and curriculum development inclusive of curriculum design, implementation and evaluation.
  3. To provide opportunities for collaboration on the knowledge and experience of Curriculum Studies and Curriculum Development across Asia Pacific regions among academic scholars and practitioners from international settings.
  4. To provide a platform for discussion and possible collaboration on curriculum studies and curriculum development at preschool, schools and universities levels in Malaysia.
 
Theme: “Curriculum and Instruction Design for Sustainable Development”

  1. Sustainability towards Inclusive Education – Education for all, special needs, marginalized children, gender equality, inclusive language, multilingualism, language for minorities
  2. Sustainability in Value Education - Character building, global citizenship
  3. Education for Environmental Sustainability: Sustainable Consumption and Production (ESCP), climate change education
  4. Education for Sustainable Socioeconomic Development - Financial literacy, sustainable life style
  5. Sustainability in Provision of Quality Education - Teacher education, leadership preparation, risk and crisis management, technology enhanced learning, aesthetic education, pedagogies, assessment, education during critical times, security education
