Approval by Estonia of the Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage (Paris, 2 November 2001)

On 2 Novmber 2020, Estonia deposited with the Director-General its instrument of approval of the Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage.

The instrument contained the following declaration:

“Estonia declares in accordance with Article 9, paragraph 2, that the information referred to in Article 9, paragraph 1 (b) will be transmitted in the manner stipulated in Article 9, paragraph 1, subparagraph (ii); (…)

Estonia declares in accordance with Article 28 that the Rules shall apply to its inland waters not of a maritime character; ”

In accordance with the terms of its Article 27, the aforementioned Convention will enter into force with respect to Estonia three months after the date of the deposit of this instrument, that is to say on 2 February 2021.
