UNESCO International Centre for Higher Education Innovation Visited IICBA

Colleagues from UNESCO International Centre for Higher Education Innovation (ICHEI) visited IICBA on the 20th of February, 2017, represented by Mr. Zhao Jianhua, Senior Specialist of ICHEI and Ms. Li Xue, Programme Officer. ICHEI, located in Shenzhen, is a Category 2 Centre for higher education based in China. It aims to support the expansion, improve quality, and promote equity in higher education in Asia and Africa. IICBA has a rich experience and network in Africa, which is the reason why ICHEI chose IICBA as its first stop of its visit to the continent. Mr. Zhao introduced ICHEI’s Digital Education Link Programme and convey its wishes of cooperation. IICBA is pleased to collaborate and partner with ICHEI on capacity building in Africa.

ICHEI and IICBA are both working in line with UNESCO’s mission and direction. Through the sharing and exchanging of knowledge, technical support and network, they promote member states to reinforce their education systems through the use of ICT and innovation. This in turn is expected to increase access and improve quality education, and thereby achieve UNESCO Education 2030 goals.
